The mechanics this solves
Mixed-ownership entities in Saudi Arabia file both CIT and zakat, on different bases; VAT runs at 15%; and banks read KYC files with their own grammar. The service turns those mechanics into a posture you chose deliberately — not one you discovered at year-end.
Slide the ownership split; see which levy attaches to which share.
Wholly foreign-held: profits fall under CIT at 20%. No zakat base arises.
Bases differ — zakat is computed on the zakat base, not accounting profit. Conceptual, not advice.
Is this the right engagement for you?
Who this is for
- You have a plan to enter and need the numbers to hold up — feasibility, pricing localised to the market, and a tax and zakat posture you can defend.
- You have mixed or foreign ownership and need to understand corporate income tax, zakat, and VAT before they surprise you.
- You are approaching bank onboarding and want the KYC file assembled so it resolves in one cycle, not several.
- You want licensed tax and audit specialists coordinated, not a spreadsheet handed over.
And who it isn't for
- You need day-to-day bookkeeping — that is an accounting-firm engagement we can point you to.
- You have no entity and no plan yet — the feasibility question comes after the entry decision.
- You want investment or securities advice — that is regulated activity we do not provide.
An entrant assumes a flat 20% tax on profit and prices accordingly. With mixed ownership the reality is corporate income tax on the non-GCC share and zakat on the rest — a different, usually lower, blended rate on a different base. Priced on the wrong assumption, the whole model is off. The calculator on this site shows the shape; the engagement computes the exact position for your structure.
How do CIT and zakat interact in one entity? +
Profit attributable to non-GCC ownership bears CIT at 20%; the Saudi/GCC share bears zakat at roughly 2.5% of the zakat base — a different computation from accounting profit. The memo shows your split with a worked example.
Do you file our taxes? +
No. Filing is executed by licensed tax advisors. We frame the posture, coordinate the specialists, and make sure the numbers agree with the feasibility model and the board pack.
What does banking readiness change? +
Weeks. A complete, well-ordered KYC file — shareholding tree, source of funds, attested documents — is the difference between one onboarding cycle and three.
Put your case on defensible numbers.
A structured consultation, an NDA on request, and a one-page pathway memo afterwards — yours either way.
